    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Uses contract data to create pay schedules for hourly paid employees.

    Excellent computer skills with at least advanced skill level of word processing and spreadsheet applications using Microsoft Office products. Experience with Lawson HRIS and TALEO ATS desired. Ability to analyze data and perform math computations. Knowledge of AAP/OFCCP, Federal and State regulations. Must be able to analyze and synthesize information from a multitude of sources and develop/support recommendations. Must work well under pressure and within assigned deadlines.     Role Overview:

    The Senior Compensation Specialist conducts and participates in compensation studies for purposes of maintaining the company’s competitive position within the market place. This may require creation of market-specific surveys, establishment of target audience, communications, data collection, analysis, and feedback on results. The incumbent will collect and analyze data to determine annual merit budgets and salary structure changes and work with HR senior leadership to obtain approvals to finalize these changes.

    The incumbent also administers the annual salary planning process including working with the HRIS Analyst on system requirements and implementation, creating communications, counselling management and Human Resources on the process. The also lead the collection and analysis of all recommendations for the Company.

    This job requires frequent interaction with members of the HR function.  It will be critical that the incumbent understand standard compensation policies, practices and principles.  They must be fully engaged in the overall compensation cycle as well as with global team members, employees and various vendors.

    Role Responsibility:

    • Support and work with Director, Global Compensation with regards to annual compensation cycle (merit, bonus, LTI grants), compensation analysis, survey participation, Compensation discussion and Analysis (CD&A) and job evaluations.
    • Evaluate existing and proposed jobs and classify them according to their levels of responsibility based on Hay evaluation methodology.
    • Participate and coordinate a variety of projects including program design, salary surveys, budgeting, implementation of new programs ensuring the balance between the global and local projects and guarantee the compliance with established global guidelines, processes, and policies.
    • Develop and document procedures to streamline processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and work with HR Business Partners.
    • Work with HRIS and IT staff to ensure that the PeopleSoft system meets compensation needs and is updated to reflect changes to salary structures, bonus programs, etc.
    • Administer the Novelis long term equity program. Analysis and maintain employee stock based plan. Maintain company stock data, develop reports, and answer inquiries regarding stock based plans.  Interfaces with stock based plan vendor. Timely and accurate administration of this program is critical to effectively deliver a significant component of pay to our leaders who are driving the business.

    My client is seeking a Compensation & Benefits Manager to work out of their Macon, GA office. This is a FT position that can start immediately. The salary ranges from $80K - $130K depending on experience. My client is willing to pay relocation costs for the right candidate.
