Responsibilities & Qualifications
The Global Compensation team in the Atlanta HQ is seeking a Sr Compensation Analyst. The person in this role will report to the Sr Manager Global Compensation. This role is responsible for performing analysis and support North America in the administration of compensation programs, policies, and processes to help ensure the organization pays competitive, equitable, fiscally viable, and in accordance company practices and policies. The candidate collaborates with HR Business Partners in North America to provide compensation guidance and support for talent acquisition, promotions, and retentions. Furthermore, supports the administration annual compensation cycle activities (salary review, short and long-term incentives, etc.), compensation analysis, survey participation, salary structures, and participates in a variety of projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Ongoing compensation partnership and support for business units
  • Help ensure the compensation needs of client groups are met and support the implementation of solutions, aligned with local and company-wide practices, philosophies, processes, goals, and systems.
  • Meet with HR partners and other Compensation partners to discuss compensation-related objectives for client groups.
  • Support annual performance management activities and reporting
  • Focus on simplifying, streamlining, and automating existing processes and procedures between HR partners and compensation
  • Prepare reports and proposals for management review
  • Analyze offers for both internal and external compensation data for candidates and provide recommendation on starting salary, etc.
  • Compensation administration
  • Administers and supports North America in the annual compensation cycle, to include annual salary review process and system(s), data analysis, short-term incentives, and employee communication while being focused on process improvement
  • Support the administration of compensation plans and programs, including base salary structures, incentive plans, and other compensation tools, and the systems to support them
  • Management and support of market pricing and salary structures globally
  • Support participation in salary surveys, market pricing and salary structures reviews, recommend, and support implementation of salary structures
  • Job structures and evaluation
  • Support job evaluations to determine job levels for new and changing roles in the region and contribute to the monthly job evaluation committee
  • Support the business through structure changes to ensure proper review, approval, communication, and implementation occurs
  • Compensation Project Leadership and Support, ad hoc
  • Lead and/or participate in compensation projects and initiatives
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis, data audits etc

 

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years of experience, majority in compensation
  • Experience providing compensation business partner support both directly to the business and to other HR professionals
  • Proven experience engaging collaborators including interacting with all levels of employees throughout the organization with tact and diplomacy
  • Advanced Excel skills including knowledge of formulas, functions, charts, statistics using comparative formulas, and pivot tables
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

Location Profile
Novelis’ Global Corporate Headquarters is located in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta Georgia and employs approximately 250 people.
