Compensation Analyst - Marietta, GA

This job will evaluate existing and proposed job descriptions for the purposes of recommending reasonable compensation comparisons. The incumbent will research comparable jobs in the marketplace and develop recommendations for a competitive compensation range that is consistent with WellStar practices and compensation philosophy. In addition to general compensation ranges, the incumbent will research and provide recommendations on various cash compensation elements and provide guidance on state and federal regulations related to compensation. Accountabilities include conducting salary surveys, examining salary surveys for market changes in salary ranges, interpreting salary data and performing analysis. In addition to the external comparisons the incumbent will also conduct internal equity analysis to ensure fair and equitable pay among team members.


This role will work closely with the compensation team in support of all areas of human resources at the corporate and facility levels. All pay and pay related recommendations will be approved by the appropriate management team member.



Required Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field.


Required Minimum Preferred experience: 1-3 years of related experience including job evaluation, pay equity analysis, compensation analysis, and survey completion.


Required Minimum Skills: Analytical, Verbal & Written Communication, Microsoft Office, Report writing software, Project Management, Presentation, Strong Customer Service focus and ability to work independently and team member. Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of MS Access is helpful.
