    Serves as the front-line consultant to Emory business units, providing project management and technical guidance and support for compensation practices, including, but not limited to, base pay, incentives, and job design.  Serves as a back-up to the Director of Compensation.  Acts as the lead for advising other staff. 

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Responds to internal client inquiries, including, but not limited to, ad-hoc market pricing requests, analysis of compensation issues, classification requests, special analyses, etc. 
    • Collaborates with business unit leadership and HR management to assess and understand unique business needs; formulates appropriate alternatives and solutions that meet Emory policy and unit need.
    • Advises clients on the appropriate use of Emory's classification system, such as suggesting appropriate classifications based on job content, scope, etc. 
    • Assists in developing and implementing compensation strategies at the business unit level.

    • May price jobs in the external labor market, based on job content.
    • Builds financial and costing models.  Independently manages small and mid-sized projects.

    • Designs and implements a communication strategy designed to maximize compensation knowledge of business unit needs. 
    • Monitors macro and microeconomic trends related to human resource management, the labor market, and pay practice trends. 

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources Management or a related field.
    • Six years of professional HR experience, with three years in compensation administration or HR consulting. 

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • CCP or SPHR.
    • Ability to influence and build credibility by effectively engaging clients. 
    • Ability to work independently with key stakeholders and prioritize work appropriately. 
    • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail. 
    • Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills, including the ability to collect and analyze information, identify key themes or issues and to draw conclusions to successfully resolve problems.

    Job Title: Sr. Compensation Analyst
    Provides compensation analysis and support for employees of AGL Resources and its subsidiaries. Plans, develops and implements new and revised compensation programs, policies and procedures that are linked to business objectives in order to attract, retain and motivate employees.  Ensures that the company’s compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with company policies, internal controls and governmental regulations.  The role participates in the administration and design of short-term incentive programs and the administration of long term incentive programs.

    Functional Expertise

    • Monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures recommending plan revisions as well as new plans which are cost effective and consistent with trends, best practices and corporate strategies.

    • Participates in the implementation and administration of long term incentive programs.  Assists in the preparation of materials for the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors, including materials for the annual proxy statement.

    • Collaborates with IT in the design, development and implementation of automated solutions to improve and administer annual merit and incentive plan payments processes.  Responsible for the administration of the automated solutions for the enterprise.

    Qualifications:

    Education, Certifications/Licenses:

    Experience in administering compensation programs including market pricing, job evaluation and short and long term incentive plans is required.  Must have knowledge of and be able to apply compensation-related regulations.

    Related Work Experience:

    Required:  5-7 years’ experience administering broad-based, short term and long term compensation programs.

    Specific Skills & Knowledge:

    MISSION / SUMMARY:

    Under the direction of the Director, Compensation & HRIS, administer the compensation plans for the organization to include the merit program, incentive plans and special recognition awards.  Ensure the maintenance of accurate and complete data in the HRIS system to include audit of job code data and training of the system users.

    We’re seeking a technically savvy equity guru to manage the global equity programs for this multi-national corporation.

    This person will be responsible for all equity data record keeping, spanning across stock options, restricted stock, performance share units, and the deferred compensation program.  This is a high profile role within the company, that will ensure all participant’s equity transactions are correctly processed and settled in a timely manner.
