    The Human Resources Administration Division of the Department of Administrative Services seeks a working level Compensation Analyst who will provide analysis, research and technical expertise in the Benefits & Compensation Unit for enterprise job classification and compensation programs.


    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • The ability to build and maintain trusting, collaborative relationships with HR professionals at all levels throughout the state
    • A strong customer service focus
    • A desire to support the success of state government employers by providing guidance and resources to build and maintain a quality state government workforce
    • Knowledge of applicable employment laws
    • Desire and willingness to develop knowledge and skills in other areas of HR


    Job Responsibilities:

    • Develops strong knowledge of culture and mission of assigned state entities to facilitate decision-making that supports the organizations’ business needs
    • Maintains enterprise-level focus on compensation management activities, while understanding unique characteristics of state entities with wide variety of missions
    • Analyzes salary and related workforce data to develop sound compensation recommendations based on market and internal equity considerations, as well as business priorities
    • Responds to third party salary and compensation practices surveys
    • Analyzes salary survey data to guide salary recommendations
    • Conducts job audits as necessary to collect information as part of job evaluation process
    • Prepares reports/summaries and presentations
    • Conducts ongoing research and participates in networking activities to develop and maintain awareness of best practices
    • Provides guidance to agencies on non-base compensation programs (incentives and rewards)
    • Conducts modeling and financial impact analyses

    This position requires successful completion of a pre-employment background check and may require periodic travel.


    Completion of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university AND One year of related experience in human resources OR One year of experience in an equivalent area to the lower level. NOTE: Professional experience may substitute for the degree on a year for year basis

    • Intermediate SharePoint skills (document owner, contributing on content)

    My client is seeking a Compensation & Benefits Manager to work out of their Macon, GA office. This is a FT position that can start immediately. The salary ranges from $80K - $130K depending on experience. My client is willing to pay relocation costs for the right candidate.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manages, directs, and controls the daily operation of the Benefits and Compensation.
    • Design, implementation, communication, measurement and revision, administration, staff supervision and management of all Health, Welfare, and Retirement and Compensation plans.
    • Evaluate the benefit plans of acquisition candidates, determines and executes integration strategy, including communication to employees of the newly acquired entities.
    • Work closely on a daily basis with the other members of the HR Department to provide services which maximize the Human Capital.

    Kennesaw State University is seeking a Compensation Specialist who will be responsible for administering institutional compensation and benefits programs. Individual will evaluate and analyze salary data, determine pay grades, and conduct or participate in compensation surveys. Successful candidate will conduct job evaluations and may serve on job evaluation committees and will create and maintain job descriptions according to established classification structure. Individual will also assist in administering institutional benefit program policies and procedures.
