Sales Compensation Manager
The Sales Compensation Manager works directly with business leaders at all levels, collaborating on innovative data based solutions in pursuit of the company’s sales goals. This includes designing/implementing variable pay plans for all levels of the sales organization. The role acts as a business consultant for all manner of variable comp plans (commissions, spiffs, promotions, contests, etc.). This position is also responsible for gathering and documenting requirements for the development team to build the plan reporting and tracking tools in the ICM.
Lead strategic Compensation initiatives that support the company goals for specific Selling Divisions, understand the business, and be a primary point of contact.
Innovate, model, and promote all sales incentive comp plans with the business, ensuring competitive pay to market.
Partner with the business and goal planning manager on the goal setting process.
Ensure continuous improvement and alignment to profitable growth, market share, revenues, and product mix through compensation plan design.
Lead and develop associates.
Build strong partnerships with business units to influence appropriate business outcomes.
Communication/Implementation/Training on Plans to the field and field leadership
Be a resource for field leadership
Responsible for the development and maintenance of specific compensation data into workday. This may include the setting up of pay ranges and pay grades.
Responsible for transitioning compensation plans into ICM and ensuring accurate reporting.
Guide testing efforts for all development work.
4 year degree
4-6 years’ work experience preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical skills
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Must exhibit effective communication, organization, self-motivation, and an ability to handle sensitive and highly confidential information
Occasional domestic travel required
Project management experience
